During this outreach, we went to Chinyunyu area, about 3 hours from Lusaka. Our goal was to sensitize the community when Covid-19 reached Zambia. We taught on the Covid-19 guidelines that WHO put across to fight the pandemic. We demonstrated hand washing with the use of soap seeing that hand sanitizer was scarce in the area and some never heard of it. Hence we donated bucket and soap to be placed near the borehole area because many peoplewould have to touch the borehole handle.

This was a collaborative move with Faithful Hearts Foundation.
We went to St Cecilia Orphanage in Chilanaga to teach on how to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The audience here was young and interesting. They were so eager to learn on this subject. Furthermore we donated hand sanitizer, soap and face masks.

We reached out to Kamanga school and talked on mental health. We gave a platform to the pupils to be honest about their struggles. A good number did open up, those that were not comfortable at the moment were referred to a senior teacher emphasizing that what they shared would be confidential. We donated school materials like books, pens, pencils, mathematical sets and snacks. We also have two mental health whatsapp support groups.

The fruit campaign is one of the signature outreaches that is done quarterly. We emphasized on the benefits of healthy eating and donated various fruits to the elderly community.
This took place in Chinyunyu. We put up a campaign where people donated the clothes, shoes and blankets that were in good condition. We received an overwhelming response from people. The community we went to was glad and happy with what they had received. Keeping the body covered is a way of preventing disease. There are families that make very little income that they cannot afford to dress their children. And other family members we taught on covid-19 prevention, donated some masks& sanitizer and taught on basic hygiene.

These events are held frequently to get to know our new volunteers and members. We have team building activities and learn each individuals strengths and weaknesses. We also take time to explain our vision and review previous activities.
